Do you think for profit online schools are just as good as university colleges that are run by the government?

Have you ever seen a article in Consumer reports or a online guide that grades these colleges?

The best online colleges are typically accredited on-campus universities, usually state schools. This is your best bet. For instance, UNC has a ton of online programs. If you’re in state, they cost less than for-profit colleges and a degree from UNC holds MUCH MUCH MUCH more weight than a degree from Devry or U of Phoenix.

I suggest looking into your state’s university system and seeing which colleges have online degrees. Almost all state colleges now have online programs.

My dad does the hiring at a chemical lab and automatically throws away anyone’s application with a degree from Devry, U of Phoenix, etc.

I dont see how the online sports betting sites profit money? How do they get there share? Other then usually having there own casino added to the site

Simply put:

You bet $110 on Team A.
I bet $110 on Team B.

One of us wins, one of us loses.

Let’s say you win. You win $100 profit, plus you keep your $110 bet. So you get back $210.

The sportsbook collected $110 from you plus $110 from me for $220 total. They only paid out $210 to you!

They made $10 and it made no difference which one of us won the game.

IMO, online universities have yet to prove their worth since you can essentially buy your degree, and there’s no real admission criteria, they’ll take anybody.

It almost creates a class system between those of us who’ve gone to state colleges and universities and those that went to online and for-profit schools.

You "buy your degree" at state school by paying tuition, it’s the same everywhere. You still have to pass your classes or better to obtain your degree, and once you enter your profession, in most cases, you have to take some kind of state licensing exam. I got to a private school that’s been absolutely wonderful. It’s well endowed by an alumnus’ family and is therefore able to provide generous scholarships for merit, which public schools cannot do. Online universities are still working out the kinks, but it’s a very cheap and efficient way to administer education, so I don’t see it going anywhere.

I played The Caravaneer and Frontier online, and I really liked how you can make a profit and sell them to different towns or cities, and fight people, but I was just wondering what those types of games were called, and what other types of games like that were online?

Most MMORPGs have some sort of player-based economy via an auction house or player shops.

You could try Face of Mankind if you want something totally player based.

The cost is much much much higher to attend one of the for-profit online colleges like they advertise on TV…as compared to my local community/state run college that also offers most of it’s courses online as an option.
What justifies the 10x extra expense to the student of the for profit online college? Why go there instead of the local state school or community college for much much less student loan debt? thank you

There is no justification, other than that for-profits are a business and they are trying to make more money. Students should always choose traditional colleges over for-profit colleges (whether they are in-person or online).

For-profit schools are very expensive and often times the quality of education isn’t as good as what you would get at a non-profit college (no matter what type). Many people just choose for-profit colleges b/c:

-they have shorter wait list times for popular programs such as nursing
-there is a stigma against community colleges as being places for ‘stupid people’
-for-profits have really good advertising and recruitment and entice people in
-people don’t know better about how much higher education should really cost

Overall if you or anyone you know is considering a for-profit college, i strongly recommend you/them reconsider the decision and look into good public or community college programs.

Would it be possible for the profits from an online birth to offset the costs of birthing?

I have a product I would like to sell at a very limited quantity for a low price. It’s only a side project and I would like to donate all the profits to a local charity which deals with education in pakistan, india, and afghanistan.
Can I just get the website up and running, sell the products and simply go ahead and go walk the money over to the org or is there a lot of legal crap to get involved in? Would appreciate any help getting this project on its feet.

Officially you will have to submit a tax form to sow earning then off setting the donation against this. Unofficially i would just do it and make sure you can get prove of donation just in case i.e. a check made out to the org would be fine.Hope this helps.

If you are good enough to cash in 90% of all sit n gos then it sounds like you have figured them out. You should simply play sit and gos with the following rules:

If you cash three times in a row, move up to the next level (buy in cost). So if you beat the $20 game, try the $35 game. But you have to beat a game three times (finish in the money) before you ‘promote’ yourself to the next level.

If you lose twice in a row, move down to the next level down.

If you stick to these rules you should find the level that works for you, where you can make money.

I’ve heard that ring games are the best way to make money, but the strategy is different. If you are genuinely this good at the sit n go I would stick with them.
