I want to start a website that sells handmade crafts for non profit organizations. Where do I begin?
I will donate the profits to non profits while finding use for my craft-making hobby.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Try auctioning your items on eBay as it is a commonly used site that already has millions of users rather than trying at this point to set up your own site, getting people to visit, and then trying to collect. You will be able to get a good idea of how much your itmes will sell for, how much you have left after your own expenses are paid, shipping, etc., and whether it is worth pursing this at a larger scale.

Perhaps you can just donate your craft items directly to the charities you are interested in helping, and let them sell them – they are likley to have established procedures for doing so.
